Bungo Stray Dogs Wan Season 2 Announced for 2026
Season 2 of Bungo Stray Dogs WAN has officially been announced for 2026 earlier today. A teaser visual featuring the main cast and an announcement video were also revealed:

Studios BONES and Nomad are returning to animate Bungo Stray Dogs WAN Season 2. Toshihiro Kikuchi is directing with Yudai Hanaoka as the assistant director. Touko Machida is in charge of the series composition, and Hiromi Daimi is the character designer. Kikuchi also directed the first season of the chibi-style anime, which premiered in 2021.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
"Bungo Stray Dogs: an action battle epic set in the bustling, fictional city of Yokohama, where the port winds howl as "gifteds" whose powers take after the giants of literature.
Could you believe that those characters of the Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia, whose battles bring them to the edge of death, would come looking so adorable and minimalistic, just to jest and jive?!"
Bungo Stray Dogs is based on a manga by Kafka Asagiri, with Harukawa35 illustrations. Serialization started in 2012 in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine.
The anime adaptation by studio BONES premiered in the Spring of 2016, with a second season following in the Fall season of the same year. Season 3 aired in 2019 and was followed by the fourth in Winter 2023. The latest, fifth, season of the TV anime aired in Summer 2023. The franchise also has a movie titled Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple, as well as an OVA, Bungo Stray Dogs: Walking Alone, from 2017.

Yen Press describes the plot as:
Having been kicked out of the orphanage, a despairing young man by the name of Atsushi Nakajima rescues a strange man from a suicide attempt–Osamu Dazai. Turns out that Dazai is part of an armed-detective agency staffed by individuals whose supernatural powers take on a literary bent!
