The Apothecary Diaries announced the first-ever game for the franchise, titled The Apothecary Diaries: Palace Chronicles. The game will be released on the G123 HTML5 platform and will be free-to-play, with in-app purchases.
In this training simulation game, players will be following Maomao and work on a variety of cases within the inner palace and the red-light district, just like the main series. While completing these tasks, the aim is to raise Maomao's official ranking. This game can be played on smartphones, tablets, and PCs, and doesn't require installation.

The game will feature a variety of original illustrations and over 35 characters, and, just like the anime, light novel, and manga, they will be building a closer bond with Maomao (the player). While deepening your relationship with these characters, you will be able to unlock new illustrations.
The Apothecary Diaries: Palace Chronicles game will also have multiplayer elements through growing herbs, where working with other players will be encouraged. The Apothecary Diaries is a popular anime and manga series that follows the story of a young apothecary named Maomao. All she wants to do is be near medicine and poisons; however, times change when she gets kidnapped and sold into service in the inner palace.
The series started with a light novel written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Touko Shina. It has received two manga adaptations: one by Nekokurage and one by Minoji Kurata. The series has been adapted into an anime by OLM and TOHO animation STUDIO, and so far has two seasons. A sequel has been announced.
