The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch Anime Announced

The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch series is getting a TV anime adaptation by studio Liden Films. The series will premiere in 2026. A teaser visual and trailer have been revealed, alongside the staff information.

The staff for The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch anime includes Naoyuki Tatsuwa (Oomuro-ke) as the director, Midori Goto (Mr. Villain`s Day Off) on the series composition, and Takayuki Onoda (Hortensia Saga) as the character designer. The official English website mistakenly lists the director's name as Naomasa Tatsuwa.

The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch will adapt the manga of the same title, written by Yosuke Kaneda. The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's Pocket Magazine since 2022. Kuroda is also known as the author of Boarding School Juliet, which was adapted into anime in 2018. The mangaka drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement:
